Most people know Horseshoe Bay for its world-class golf courses, resort amenities, and lake lifestyle.

What many don't realize is that tucked into the rolling hills just beyond the resort is one of the most unique experiences I've encountered in the Highland Lakes.

Recently, I had the opportunity to tour the Horseshoe Bay Sporting Club during a fundraising tournament, and what I discovered was far more than a shooting range.

The Horseshoe Bay Sporting Club is a premier sporting experience reserved for Sporting Club Members of The Club at Horseshoe Bay. Designed around outdoor recreation, friendly competition, luxury hospitality, and community, it offers members a completely different way to experience the Texas Hill Country.

As I arrived, competitors were making their way through the sporting clays course while others gathered around the clubhouse, sharing stories and enjoying the day's events. The atmosphere felt welcoming, relaxed, and social. Rather than a place people simply visit for an activity, it felt like a place where members genuinely enjoy spending time together.

The Sporting Clays Experience

At the heart of the club is a beautifully designed 12-station sporting clays course.

Future amenities currently under development include pistol bays, flurry shooting experiences, and additional sporting opportunities designed to further enhance the member experience.
