Fire & Ice Wellness: The Reset I Didn’t Know I Needed

There’s a moment when you step out of a cold plunge where your brain suddenly feels crystal clear.

Your breathing slows down. Your body wakes up. Your stress level drops about ten notches.

And after spending time at Fire & Ice Wellness in Marble Falls, I finally understand why people become completely obsessed with contrast therapy.

From the second I walked in, the entire space felt calming. Warm lighting. Relaxed energy. A place intentionally built around recovery, wellness, and helping people feel better physically and mentally.

Owner Alana walked me through all of the offerings, and what stood out immediately is that this is not just “a cold plunge place.” It’s a full recovery experience built around heat, cold, relaxation, circulation, nervous system regulation, and slowing down long enough to actually take care of yourself.

The experience starts with their private infrared saunas, which reach up to 170 degrees and include customizable LED lighting depending on the mood you want during your session.

You can book shorter sessions or stay longer and fully settle in. Read a book. Sit in silence. Sweat out your entire stressful week. They provide towels, backrests, and everything feels designed to make the experience comfortable instead of intimidating.

And the heat is no joke.

After a few minutes inside, you can physically feel your body relaxing. Your muscles loosen up. Your breathing slows down. Your mind quiets down a little too.

They also offer Halo Salt Therapy as an add on, which helps create an even deeper relaxation experience while inside the sauna.

Then there’s the red light therapy table.

You lay back with protective eye goggles while the red light surrounds your body, and the entire experience feels incredibly calming and restorative. Fire & Ice Wellness explains that red light therapy is designed to support things like muscle recovery, connective tissue health, collagen production, energy levels, and relaxation.

One of the biggest surprises for me though was the compression therapy paired with BrainTap meditation.

The leg compression sleeves inflate and pulse while guided BrainTap meditation audio helps you fully slow down mentally. I was not prepared for how relaxed I felt afterward. It genuinely felt like my nervous system powered down for the first time in weeks.

And then came the vitamin C filtered shower.

Which sounds like a small detail until you actually experience it between the sauna and cold plunge. The shower helps rinse off before plunging, but it also somehow turns the entire experience into something that feels elevated and intentional instead of rushed.

Then came the cold plunge.

I’m not exaggerating when I say the first few seconds feel intense. Your body immediately reacts to the cold. But once you settle into it and step back out, there’s this rush of energy and clarity that’s hard to explain unless you experience it yourself.

Your skin tingles. Your brain wakes up. You suddenly feel alert, energized, focused, and weirdly calm all at the same time.

Fire & Ice Wellness explains that cold hydro therapy is designed to help with things like circulation, metabolism, inflammation, lymphatic support, mood, and recovery. And after trying it myself, I completely understand why so many people build entire routines around sauna and cold plunge therapy.

The best part is that the experience feels approachable.

You do not need to be some hardcore athlete or wellness influencer to enjoy this place. Whether you want stress relief after a long week, recovery after workouts, better sleep, relaxation, or simply a different kind of self care experience in the Highland Lakes, Fire & Ice Wellness creates a space that feels welcoming and calming from start to finish.

They even offer complimentary electrolyte drinks afterward so you can recharge before heading back out into the world.

Which, after the cold plunge, suddenly feels a lot more manageable.

If you’ve been curious about sauna therapy, cold plunges, wellness recovery, or simply finding a place to mentally and physically reset for an hour, this is absolutely one to add to your Highland Lakes list.
